On Friday, October 13, 2023, Coats & Bennett Attorney William G. Pagán will be speaking as a panelist at the annual Law and Technology Summit on the patent implications of generative artificial intelligence (AI).
Generative AI is a technology in the field of Computer Science that uses large collections of example materials to generate new examples of similar works. Generative AI is often used to generate original images, speech, music, video, source code, and other works in a way that emulates human creativity. Notable examples include ChatGPT and NightCafe.
Attorney Pagán is a member of the Computer Science Alumni Hall of Fame at North Carolina State University and patent law is a heavy focus of his law practice. He will undoubtedly have noteworthy insights into how generative AI will impact the world of patents.
