Attorney William G. Pagán is scheduled to speak at the 2024 Law and Technology Summit organized by the North Carolina Central University’s Technology Law and Policy Center. He will be one of three distinguished panelists discussing Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI), Privacy and the Cost of Invisibility of the Global Majority. The panel will also include Attorney Leah Perry and Attorney Charlotte Lewis Jones, each of whom are notable multi-hyphenate leaders in the Privacy and AI space as well. Attorney William G. Pagán is a Patent Attorney & Co-Owner of Coats & Bennett, where he helps clients manage tech law issues and routinely drafts and prosecutes patent applications relating to AI, data security, and other related fields. He is admitted to the NC State University Computer Science Alumni Hall of Fame and serves as a Deputy Regional President for the Hispanic National Bar Association.
Attorney Leah Perry is the Vice President of Legal, Chief Privacy Officer & Global Head of Public Policy at Box. She also serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the AI Trust Foundation, and is the current Chair of the Privacy, Cybersecurity & Technology Law section of the National Bar Association.
Attorney Charlotte Lewis Jones is the Head of Product, Privacy & Regulatory Legal at Five9, has served as counsel for several noteworthy tech companies (e.g., Twitter, Facebook) and is an author of children’s books promoting early interest in the STEM disciplines.
All three of the panelists are Certified Information Privacy Professionals, as recognized by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
